Best place in town. Friendly bartends, best selection of beer, and a very mature crowd. Recommended every time.

The Beer Hive Pub (not to be confused with the "bee hive pub") is a very solid location to grab a couple of beers and relax with some friends. It's a cozy and relaxing pub upstairs with pool tables and a couple of other bar games downstairs. The list of beer is 5 pages long which is pretty phenomenal and from the few that I tasted, i very much enjoyed them. The food menu on the other hand could use a tad bit of work. Not to say that the food is super bad, but if you were going their only to eat you might be a little disappointed with the limited selection and mediocre taste. All-in-all we very much enjoyed the Beer Hive Pub and look forward to going back again

Best beer selection in Utah by far and very knowledgeable bartenders. I love that they have committed to being open Sundays. Food is decent but really I go there for hard to find stouts, the pool and the cold strip in the bar for when I'm in an IPA or lager mood.

Visiting SLC? This is the place to go!! They have a huge selection of beer, but what I love is that they nicely label local Utah beers. Their food and service is always top notch as well. Highly recommend.

Amazing Craft Beer and local spirits selection and warm ambience, but if you are looking for craft cocktails, go somewhere else. Super helpful and accommodating staff, but even they had to admit even a proper old fashioned cocktail they did not have the right ingredients for...

Real rating is 4.5. Nice selection of beverages (aka decent bar wines) and an even nicer ensemble of staff members. Only in town for a day; went twice, which should be an indication of goodness.

This place is right downtown and has a really nice vibe. The whole bar has a strip that is frozen to keep drinks cold. Just a really nice bar to relax and have a drink. Food as well.

An amazing collection of beer. I came here at my last weekend. I had so much fun. This place is excellent for hangout with friends. Decor of the bar is rocking. Staff are good. Fast service. I would like to come again.

Bartender was super cool and suggested some great local beers! Also enjoyed that it stays open late. Beer stays perfectly cold with the cooler bar! Also high five for recommending late night pizza too!

Terrific downtown bar! The staff is experienced and personable and the clientele is friendly and lively. They have a great selection of Utah beers and spirits and a classic historical ambiance.

My favorite bar downtown. The bartenders are always respectful and informative, and I even got some samples to try before getting a beverage. The ice rail is nice and keeps your drink cold. The food here is decent too, especially when it comes to the portion size. Prices are competitive for the other bars in the area.

Great beer friendly staff! Stopped in for a few beers. I recommend sitting at the bar to enjoy the ice strip. A huge selection of beers including several local brands. Bar tenders were friendly and more than happy to give you suggestions on the next beer to try. I will definitely be back.

Excellent selection of bottle/can brews

All in all, it was alright. We didn't see our waiter once after we got our food and even had to try to flag him down to pay (which didn't end up working by the way). Food was alright, drinks were alright.... all in all pretty meh.

It was excellent! Try the Amazing Beehive Burger! Incredible flavor! Even open on Sundays when most other places are closed.

Although we arrived at last call, there was an immediate laid back vibe. No adolescent obscenity, which is rare to find. Great drink selection, can't wait to go back when they're not about to close, lol.

Good "traditional looking" pub for relaxing and enjoy some drafts. There is generous helpings of food. If nothing else, come for the ice rail at the bar which keeps your beer chilled! It is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating.

It's like the Cheesecake factory of beer, and endless menu of all the bottled beers you could think of. Plus they have some good food you'd expect with a place like this.Despite the bee theme... I didn't see Mead on the menu but I could have missed it given the sheer number of beers to select from including cider. The food was ok, I'm not sure what was missing from the burger.The bun had potential but it broke apart fairly easily. The fries were battered which should have been good enough but I dunno - not impressed.Downstairs they have pool tables and foosball. I didn't get to play so I don't know how much it is but it wasn't too busy at 6pm. Upstairs was packed at that time, so get there early.

It was a night like many others. We had seen a show. We walked hand in hand down the cold streets. Then we heard it. A growl. A haunted noise of pain and need.Her stomach demanded a good drink and a nice atmosphere. We went here and it was good.

I wanted to like this place because I read how great it was but I must say food and beer was ok. I ordered pizza and it was so bland. The cheese sticks tasted frozen. The chicken sandwich was ok. Beer selection is ok. I am not impressed but I must say that the people who work here are very friendly.

Good selection of bottled beers, but draft selection was limited. The kitchen sometimes closes early if it's slow. One unique feature of this bar includes a built in frozen coaster strip that extends the length of the bar. This is great for keeping your beer cold.

The food was very fresh and tasty. The service was great, the bar tenders were attentive and friendly. Loved the ice tray feature located at the bar to keep drinks cold, never seen that before! Down stairs tree hey have pool tables and foosball as well. Fun spot!

The service is very friendly. I loved the ice strip down the center of the bar. They have a great selection of beer. The only way to make this place better would be to have full bodied beer on tap, but that's out of their control. The food options looked ok but it wasn't a full menu.

Cool pub...and I mean pub in downtown Salt Lake. As soon as you walk in you know this is a place you can sit and relax. They have a pretty basic food menu and a massive beer menu in addition to a full bar. We kicked back after a long day at the convention center looking for some quiet. Service was ok, we weren't sitting at the bar so it took a bit to be helped. Ordered drinks and food. I had a pastrami burger and my wife had a turkey club. Both were decent and reasonably priced. This is a great place of you want some quiet time or a place to talk and relax.

Ho hum experience in a place that could offer more. Mainly from the service we received, which I felt like we were forgotten about. The selection of beer was good, so that's a plus.

Great beer, great bartenders, nothing but good things to say about this place. Even in Covid, they're killing it.

A very laid back atmosphere. This is a great place to bring a friend or to just watch the game. It's not too loud and not too dark either. Upstairs they have the games 'Ice Bar' to keep your drink cold and downstairs they have pool tables and a foosball table (TV downstairs as well). As far as the actual drinks, they have a very large selection of beers and whiskeys and decent prices too. Definitely will hit this place up again for a quick drink.

$15 for 2 bottled beers that would cost $1.50 max at the local grocery store...plus a poor selection of beers on tap. I'm not sure why this place was packed? Maybe the food was good. We won't be back.
